Job summary

Victim Support in Sheffield is seeking a dedicated Support & Early Interventions Officer to join our triage team. The role is hybrid, combining home and office work, and involves assessing risk, delivering short-term interventions, and coordinating with partner agencies.

You will be the first point of contact for clients referred to our service, handling a caseload and ensuring personalised support while maintaining confidential records. Prior experience in related settings is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering services in statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency settings is beneficial.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments for clients.
• Provide tailored responses to clients' needs, including children and young people & adults affected by crime.
• Manage a caseload of clients requiring immediate and short-term interventions; develop support plans and referrals.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records.
• Collaborate with statutory and voluntary agencies to address client needs; understand safeguarding issues.
