Job summary

Finlay Jude Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager in the Rochdale area. The role combines field-based client engagement with office days, offering a hybrid working pattern and prospects for progression.

You will drive new business and, depending on background, may also lead marketing initiatives to promote products. A UK driving licence is essential and a strong track record in sales or marketing is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years in either new business development, product management or industry marketing.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales or profit targets.
• Full UK driving licence and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK sales activity under the Sales Manager guidance.
• Focus on new client acquisition and translating technical capabilities into commercial partnerships.
• Draft business proposals and presentations addressing client needs.
• Travel across the UK to client facilities, factories and trade shows.
• Collaborate with production teams to develop specifications solving client needs.
• Manage end-to-end process from initial contact to final sale with precise costing and negotiations.
• Use CRM to forecast volume demands and manage outbound prospecting.
• If coming from a marketing background, design and deploy targeted marketing campaigns to generate inbound traffic and build brand equity.
