Job summary

Bowmay Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive sales across the UK consumer market. You will build and execute development plans, identify and pursue new leads, and nurture relationships for repeat business.

You should demonstrate a track record in selling manufactured goods into retail channels and have strong negotiation skills. Ideally from textile or consumer sectors, with a hunter mindset and willingness to meet the onsite team weekly.

Qualifications

• Around 5 years experience in a solid Business Development Manager role.
• Essential that you have sold a manufactured product into the retail sector.
• Strong understanding of building relationships with retail giants (high street, online and discount channels).
• Experience in textile manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, home textiles or similar consumer product areas is ideal.
• Track record in opening doors, winning sales and increasing revenue.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out business development plans to achieve sales and growth within the consumer market across the UK.
• Seek out new leads for business and follow up; convert opportunities.
• Build on existing relationships to ensure repeat business and explore all opportunities.
• Assist with tender preparation and negotiate commercial contracts/agreements.
