Job summary

MBDA Missile Systems in Bolton seeks an experienced Test Development Engineer specializing in Circuit Card electronic test to join our Test Development team. You will create and maintain automated test systems and drive test strategies across the product lifecycle.

You’ll work on designing adapters, developing automated test sequences, and contributing to continuous improvement and new technology adoption. Hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Sound understanding of analogue and digital circuit design.
• Experience creating technical documentation and drawings (schematics, PCB layouts, engineering drawings).
• Significant experience creating Automated Test Equipment.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand preferable.
• Experience in Boundary Scan / XJTAG preferable.
• Strong problem solving with attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset with continuous improvement focus; Six Sigma desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain small to medium automated test systems.
• Develop and implement test strategies and test documentation.
• Design Interchangeable Test Adaptors (mechanical and electrical) and software for automated tests.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
