Job summary

Ultra Intelligence & Communications, Maidenhead, invites a Systems Engineer to join the Litening pod program within the C2I business. Based at the Cyber Centre of Excellence, you will contribute to development, flight test and in-service support, with hybrid working options.

You will manage safety and airworthiness, liaise with UK and international partners, develop technical proposals and estimates, and support customer integration and flight trials while upholding information security per

Qualifications

• Willing and able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
• Extensive experience in the military avionics domain at the aircraft systems level.
• Degree educated in engineering or equivalent with knowledge of airborne electro-optic systems.
• Extensive experience or qualifications related to aircraft systems safety.
• Experience dealing with UK and overseas suppliers, customers and end users.

Responsibilities

• Carry out in-depth analysis of RAF in-service issues and develop solutions.
• Manage safety and airworthiness to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with programme management to deliver on time, budget and quality.
• Liaise with international stakeholders to maintain Ultra’s profile for Litening pods.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities related to Litening pods.
• Coordinate modifications to airborne and ground-based LDP equipment to maintain capability.
• Support technical reporting to suppliers and customers within contracts.
• Prepare and assist customer integration, demonstrations and flight trials.
• Explain complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Generate and review technical proposals and estimates for bids and contracts.
