Leonardo is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to shape Through-Life Services for UK's next-generation combat aircraft. You will work with engineering specialists, international partners, and stakeholders to influence early support design decisions and deliver high-value, field-ready solutions.

The role emphasizes MBSE, use case development, and requirements management across the engineering lifecycle, with flexible hybrid working arrangements and strong collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience applying MBSE approaches to develop service and product system architectures.
• Experience capturing and analysing stakeholder needs to guide development of service solutions.
• Experience generating Use Cases and conducting Functional Analysis.
• Experience managing requirements and maintaining traceability.
• Solid understanding of the engineering lifecycle and impact of early decisions.
• Ability to balance competing needs using structured trade studies.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills across diverse organisations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage stakeholders for Through-Life Services (TLS) and develop engagement strategy.
• Elicit, analyse and prioritise stakeholder needs to define optimal capability solutions.
• Contribute to concepts and architectures for Through-Life Support with design teams and SMEs.
• Conduct system functional analysis, modelling and architecture refinement.
• Support Use Case definition to inform Functional Analysis and derive architecture.
• Coordinate multi-stakeholder inputs and deliver high-quality reports and presentations.
• Promote best practice and MBSE adoption across programmes.
• Ensure alignment between TLS architecture and wider programme elements.
