Job summary

University of Exeter seeks a Student Employment Support Officer (Internships) to join the Employer Engagement & Student Employment team and deliver the daily operations of managed internship schemes for students and graduates.

The role is hybrid, with on-campus and home-based work, and is available initially on a full-time fixed-term basis until July 2027 to cover a secondment. Applicants must be internal and current line manager approval applies for secondments.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and email, and by telephone with a diverse range of people.
• Excellent IT skills including proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and web based programmes.
• Recent, relevant administrative experience
• Delivering an exceptional level of customer service
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide accurate information

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day operational work associated with the University of Exeter’s Managed Internships Schemes.
• Build effective relationships with employers, students and graduates to support scheme delivery.
• Collaborate with the Employer Engagement & Student Employment team to enable successful internship opportunities.
