Job summary

The University of Exeter is seeking a Student Information Desk Advisor on a full-time, fixed-term basis to cover a secondment until 31 July 2027. The role offers hybrid working, with time on campus and from home, starting 1 October 2026.

You will join the SID Team to deliver frontline support on non-academic topics, supervise front-desk advisors, and help ensure a prompt, professional, integrated service that exceeds customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A friendly and professional manner.
• Excellent organisational and IT skills.
• The ability to lead a team without supervision, managing performance and developing staff skills, expertise and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise advisors at the front desk during core day-to-day activities.
• Support SID Team Manager and ensure a prompt, professional and integrated service.
• Be flexible with working hours to cover operational requirements, including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
