Job summary

Birkbeck, University of London is hiring a Student Engagement Administrator to join the central Student Engagement Team. You will provide friendly, reliable, and well-organised administrative support for activities helping students stay connected with their studies and access support when needed.

You will manage queries via the team inbox and other channels, keep accurate records, and coordinate diaries and meetings with colleagues across Birkbeck.

Qualifications

• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in higher education is not essential; what matters is your ability to organise, communicate, and provide a reliable service.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, reliable, and well-organised administrative support for student engagement activities.
• Manage the team inbox and respond to routine enquiries from students and colleagues.
• Coordinate busy diaries and arrange meetings across Birkbeck, circulating papers and tracking actions.
• Maintain student records and team trackers; gather attendance and engagement information.
• Assist with Personal Tutor allocations and support School Engagement and Retention Groups.
