Job summary

Walbrook Institute London Ltd. is seeking a proactive Student Engagement Coordinator to support on-campus and online learners, ensuring an excellent student experience across academic, wellbeing and pastoral matters.

You will be a key point of contact throughout the student journey, working with academic and professional services colleagues to foster an inclusive community, drive retention and satisfaction, and support international students.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a student-facing role within Higher Education.
  • Experience supporting international students.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
  • Digital confidence and experience using online platforms and systems.

  • A proactive, student-centred approach with a passion for delivering an outstanding student experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline support for student enquiries, in person and online.
  • Support students throughout their academic journey, managing enquiries and escalating complex issues where appropriate.
  • Monitor student engagement and attendance, carrying out proactive outreach to support student engagement and retention.
  • Coordinate and support student engagement activities and communications for on-campus and online students.
  • Champion student voice initiatives, including surveys, feedback forums and other opportunities for student engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service KPIs.
  • Work collaboratively across the institution while ensuring all activities align with institutional policies and safeguarding requirements.

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, full-time, permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic and student-focused Student Engagement Coordinator to join our Student Engagement Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an outstanding student experience for a diverse community of on-campus and online learners.

Role Overview

As a Student Engagement Coordinator, you will be a key point of contact for students throughout their academic journey, providing high-quality support, guidance and signposting across a range of academic, wellbeing and pastoral matters.

Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, you will help create an inclusive and engaging student community, support student success and wellbeing, and contribute to initiatives that enhance engagement, retention and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Desirable
  • Knowledge of the UK higher education sector and student lifecycle.
  • Experience supporting online learners and delivering student engagement activities.
  • Experience using student records, CRM or engagement monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of UKVI requires and issues affecting international students.
Salary and Benefits
  • Up to 30,000 per annum, dependent on experience
