Job summary

Amentum in the UK defence sector is seeking a Structural Engineer with experience in analysis and design of large industrial facilities, including power station buildings and heavy manufacturing sites.

You will join a growing multi-discipline team, work on projects across RIBA stages in regulated environments, and benefit from hybrid working, flexible hours and a strong focus on safety, integrity and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong design and analysis capability using British, American and international standards, and Eurocodes.
• Ability to manage projects and prepare deliverables within quality, budget and schedule constraints.
• Solid understanding of structural theory and problem solving.
• Experience in preparing bids/proposals and maintaining client relations.
• Accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering; Chartered status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of large industrial facilities (e.g., power stations, manufacturing sites).
• Manage projects and deliverables, including quality, budget, programme and resources.
• Prepare bids/proposals and develop relationships with clients.
