Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead multi-discipline design teams across the full lifecycle of nuclear and defence projects in the UK. The role reports to the Engineering Director and involves collaboration with Project and Programme Managers to deliver safe, compliant outcomes within budget and schedule.

The position offers hybrid work with 1-2 days in the office and occasional site visits to Reading.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in an engineering discipline and CEng member of a recognised professional institute.
• Demonstrable experience of involvement in similar design focused projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline teams of design engineers and technicians across the full project lifecycle from definition to handover.
• Collaborate with Project and Programme Managers and stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes.
• Deliver design in line with NEC commercial arrangements and governance processes.
