Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Civil Structural Engineer to join our UK team, delivering environmental and defence-related structural projects with a focus on quality, safety and collaboration. You’ll contribute to design development, client liaison and cross-discipline coordination across multiple offices.

The role supports hybrid working across UK offices, with opportunities to lead projects of varying size and complexity while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural engineering or equivalent underpinning knowledge.
• Experience leading civil/structural design projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost and quality.
• Plan projects, deliverables and financial performance; mentor juniors.
• Communicate with clients and design team members to provide technical input.
• Provide technical and professional guidance to junior designers.
• Develop and deliver design documents and solutions.
• Chair progress meetings and design reviews; ensure compliance with QMS.
• Coordinate surveys and assessments; work autonomously on complex activities.
