Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to join our UK-based delivery teams, enabling safe, compliant and innovative civil and structural design across nuclear and commercial projects. The role supports hybrid working across our UK office network, including Stockton, Newcastle, Bristol, Gloucester, Glasgow, Westlakes and Warrington.

You will lead CS&A engineers and liaise with delivery partners to meet safety, regulatory and project objectives.

Qualifications

• MEng degree in Civil Engineering (accredited) or equivalent.
• Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer status or equivalent.
• Technical design experience with British/international standards or Eurocodes.
• Experience delivering in regulated and quality‑assured environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading CS&A engineers/architects in definition, implementation and delivery of works meeting safety, function and business goals.
• Delivery of civil/structural design including reinforced concrete, plated steel, maritime structures and nuclear facilities.
• Manage interfaces between Delivery Partners and the design team.
• Develop deliverables list and formats (drawings, specifications, reports).
