University of Exeter is seeking a Service Designer to join the Digital team on a full-time, permanent basis with hybrid working between campus and home. The role focuses on designing and delivering user-centered services through research, service blueprints, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to prototype and improve offerings.

Salary ranges from £43,482 to £53,301 per annum, depending on experience, on grade F.

Qualifications

• Experience in user-centered design research, synthesis, and personas, service blueprints, and user journeys.
• Prototyping service concepts and iterating based on user feedback and data insights.
• Strong visual and verbal communication to convey complex service designs and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to align service designs with organisational objectives and manage competing priorities.
• Experience working in agile environments and using agile tools.
• Expertise in inclusive design and accessibility standards.
• Ability to break down barriers and build lasting cross-team relationships across the university.
