Magnox (NRS) invites applications for a Senior Consultant (Structural Mechanical Engineering) to lead complex structural integrity assessments across UK nuclear decommissioning programmes and deliver robust analyses ensuring safety and compliance.

You will mentor engineers, liaise with regulators and clients, and contribute to the full lifecycle from design through decommissioning, with flexible hybrid working and strong career progression in a safety‑critical environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
• Experience applying structural mechanics in regulated industries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex structural mechanics assessments and stress analyses.
• Provide guidance on structural integrity and load paths under various conditions.
• Deliver calculations, FE analyses, and engineering evaluations with technical assurance.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and collaborate with regulators and clients.
