Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in the water sector to support United Utilities frameworks in the North West from Manchester with hybrid working. You will lead process design activities, provide technical assurance, and drive innovative, cost-efficient solutions.

You will guide other engineers, challenge specifications, and engage with clients to deliver fit-for-purpose processes for wastewater projects across the AMP8 program.

Qualifications

• Chemical Engineering or related Process Engineering degree, chartered preferred.
• Experience with water and/or wastewater unit processes and treatment plants.
• HAZOP experience as chair or team member would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of process design deliverables such as process models, mass balances and control philosophies.
• Provide technical assurance of process designs and ensure compliance with standards.
• Identify opportunities for innovation to meet whole-life cost and net-zero drivers.
• Analyse site performance and develop mitigation to avoid delays or exploit opportunities.
• Challenge process selection to deliver best value solutions for the client.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and allocate project resources.
• Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
