Job summary

WSP is actively seeking a Senior Flood Risk and Drainage Consultant to deliver FCA/FRA work and contribute to sustainable drainage strategies across major infrastructure projects in the UK, including Wales. The role requires collaboration within the Sustainable Water Management team and cross-disciplinary exposure, with client-facing responsibilities.

You will lead junior teams, oversee design work withAutoCAD and hydraulic modelling tools, and contribute to planning and permitting for projects

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential.
• Actively working towards chartered status with IEng, CWEM or CEng.
• Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage strategies in consultancy is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and supervise FCA and FRA work for varied schemes.
• Provide technical input into sustainable drainage strategies and design for complex schemes.
• Oversee feasibility studies and supporting drawings.
• Prepare SAB submissions with Welsh Local Authorities.
• Deliver Section 19 Flood Investigations and project management tasks.
