Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a hybrid role based in Stoke-on-Trent. You will oversee cost estimating, procurement, sub-contractor management and monthly cash-flow reporting on fast-track refurbishments in Education, Leisure and Retail sectors.

Ideal candidates have live-project experience, strong IT and MS Office skills, and knowledge of JCT contracts. Travel across sites with a UK driving licence is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Education/Retail/Leisure refurbishments or fast-fit environments.
• Knowledge of JCT forms of contract preferred.
• Attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication.
• Full UK Driving Licence required; travel is a must.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, process and select estimates, bids and tenders to tight timescales.
• Develop procurement programme from handover to estimating.
• Manage sub-contractors from procurement through mobilisation; review applications and variations.
• Prepare and monitor cash flow forecast for designated projects.
• Submit monthly payment applications and cost valuation reports.
• Value and authorize payments to sub-contractors.
• Liaise with Contract Managers to confirm project specifications.
• Attend meetings and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Monitor contract progress and report changes affecting costs or timescales.
• Assist in contract budget control.
