Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Solicitor in Exeter to join its Property Litigation team. The role offers hybrid working and a permanent, full-time position with a salary in the £55,000–£65,000 range, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will work closely with Partners on high-value disputes across commercial developers, occupiers, investors and lenders, handling a diverse caseload from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in property litigation during a training contract or NQ role.
• Exposure to residential and commercial disputes (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.
• Good judgement, empathy and the ability to handle sensitive matters professionally.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience under pressure.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, thorough approach.
• Motivation to take early responsibility and deliver excellent client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Commercial landlord and tenant disputes.
• Building Safety Act matters.
• Real property disputes (rights of way, adverse possession, boundary issues, harassment).
• Commercial and residential service charge disputes.
• Property insolvency and secured recoveries.
