Job summary

Chadwick Nott in Exeter is seeking a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our Dispute Resolution team in a busy litigation environment. The role covers a broad range of commercial and civil disputes, with flexible hybrid working and the Exeter office-based start.

You will assist partners and senior lawyers on varied matters, build your own caseload over time, and have opportunities to specialise while receiving strong training and development support.

Qualifications

• Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 0-5 years PQE.
• Practical, proactive approach to resolving disputes.
• Strong communicator who works well in a team.
• Committed to delivering excellent client care.
• Interest in developing a long-term litigation career.
• Experience in contentious trusts and probate is a plus (not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist partners and senior lawyers on a varied caseload.
• Disputed wills and trusts.
• Commercial litigation matters.
• A broad range of disputes for businesses, charities, institutions and high net worth individuals.
• Day-to-day conduct of files with support to build your own caseload.
• Opportunities to develop a specialism and carve out your own niche.
• Regular team training and involvement in wider firm activities.
