Job summary

Pets at Home is seeking a Group Property Coordinator for a 12-month maternity cover based in Handforth, Cheshire. The role is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Handforth office, focusing on property administration, lease records, and budget monitoring across the retail and veterinary estate.

You'll work closely with Asset Managers, Facilities, Legal, Finance and Retail teams, coordinating enquiries, maintaining trackers, and supporting estate management activities to keep the property function

Qualifications

• Experience in property administration or lease management.
• Strong numerical and budget monitoring ability.
• Experience with property records and landlord queries.
• Hybrid working with 2 days in the office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Asset Managers in the day-to-day management of our retail and veterinary property portfolio.
• Manage and respond to enquiries through the Property inbox, coordinating solutions with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate property records, lease information, critical dates, risks and opportunities.
• Review lease obligations and support the resolution of repair and landlord queries.
• Assist with business rates administration, data gathering and cost management activities.
• Maintain property trackers covering rent reviews, lease expiries, service charges and business rates.
• Review and validate service charge budgets, expenditure and reconciliations.
• Support the identification of cost recovery opportunities and challenge potential overcharges.
• Monitor property-related costs and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Build strong relationships with landlords, managing agents, surveyors and external advisers.
• Work closely with Facilities, Legal, Finance, Retail and Veterinary teams to support operational requirements.
• Escalate significant property issues and risks where appropriate.
