Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead a multinational engineering team within the CS3 line in the UK. You will be the customer-facing engineering delivery lead across multiple contracts, ensuring on-time, within-budget performance and strong stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires a proven engineering background, excellent communication, and the ability to mentor a diverse team in a complex defence environment. Hybrid working is offered with security clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in multi-contract environments.
• Background in development, production and support activities.
• Security clearance eligibility (BPSS/NSV) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the customer-facing representative for engineering delivery to internal and external customers.
• Plan, monitor, and report engineering activities and resources within budget.
• Monitor engineering milestones, risk, issues and opportunities.
• Mentor and develop the engineering team to foster continuous improvement.
• Deliver on commitments to customers and partners and support bid/proposal activities.
