Job summary

Recruit Mint Ltd seeks a hands-on Procurement & Operations Coordinator in Gosport. You will coordinate purchasing, freight and commercial support, helping bring structure to how the business buys, spends and works with suppliers.

You will support three areas: purchasing coordination, freight supplier management and commercial analysis, turning spend data into clear insights while helping shape new processes. Hybrid work after probation.

Qualifications

• Some experience in a purchasing, procurement, freight or commercial support role.
• A commercially minded approach with ability to analyse spend.
• Strong organisational skills to bring structure where there is little.
• Confident with suppliers and supporting negotiations.
• Good Excel skills and data handling capabilities.
• Experience setting up or working with purchase orders/requisitions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing across the business and reduce site-to-site buying variations.
• Assist setup of a purchase requisition and order process where none exists.
• Raise, process and receive purchase orders; manage supplier queries.
• Manage relationships with a small group of freight providers.
• Support contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Review freight charges, service levels, and price changes.
• Analyse spend on freight and purchasing to aid commercial decisions.
• Produce reporting to support finance and commercial teams.
