This brand-new position sits at the intersection of finance, operations and procurement, shaping profitability and supplier strategy. Based at the head office in Gosport, you will manage supplier relationships, control expenditure, negotiate freight and commercial agreements, and turn data into savings.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Experience managing suppliers, procurement activities or business services.
• Experience analysing financial and operational data and presenting business insights.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work across multiple departments and priorities.
• Track record of identifying cost savings and process improvements.
• Desirable: procurement experience; logistics/transport background; familiarity with supplier contracts and claims.

Responsibilities

• Analyse profitability, supplier spend and operational costs to improve margins.
• Produce commercial reporting and management information to support decisions.
• Review customer pricing structures to protect and improve profitability.
• Oversee purchasing activities across all departments and source new suppliers.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and run tenders and contract reviews.
• Develop supplier performance measures and monitor service delivery.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate suppliers and leverage purchasing power.
• Manage relationships with freight providers and courier partners, and negotiate rates.
• Review freight spend, challenge cost increases and source alternative carriers.
