Kier Group plc is seeking a Procurement Manager to join the Southern Water team in Brighton. The role supports sourcing, negotiation and governance of goods and subcontract procurement, delivering innovative, compliant procurement solutions with stakeholders.

Hybrid working is available, with travel to offices and sites as required. A relevant degree and professional CIPS status are preferred, along with experience in infrastructure/utilities sectors and strong IT and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant degree (or equivalent).
• Chartered CIPS membership or working towards chartership, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in the infrastructure/utilities sector (civil engineering/MEICA) would be advantageous.
• Strong self-management, communication, and IT skills; ability to build relationships.
• Proficiency with SAP SRM and Jaggaer systems.

Responsabilités

• Ensuring procurement policies for Kier Group and Framework are followed, including Health and Safety accreditation and Sustainability standards.
• Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers to balance contractual risks and deliver best value.
• Developing and managing preferred suppliers and strategic partnerships for high-quality, value-for-money services.
• Leading compliance of Framework contract obligations and driving client approval processes.
• Managing and prioritising procurement activities, developing project procurement plans, and attending client workshops.
