Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for our Southern Water Services team, based in working from home / Falmer. The role blends remote and site work with 3 days per week on live sites or in the office.

You will control costs, maximise value, and maintain safety and quality across major water infrastructure schemes, reporting monthly and forecasting finances while supporting procurement strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC contracts and Target Costing.
• Experience in construction, water or civils sectors.
• Strong IT skills with Excel; familiarity with Oracle and Causeway systems.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Measure works and prepare monthly and final payment applications, including reporting and forecasting.
• Monitor project costs and value, ensure contractual notifications are in place.
• Manage subcontract applications and assessments per contractual requirements.
• Support operations with contract compliance, procurement strategy and value maximisation.
• Mentor junior team members and liaise with client and subcontract commercial teams.
