Job summary

WSP seeks a Principal Environmental Permitting Consultant to lead complex permitting, compliance and regulatory projects across a diverse client base in the energy, waste, industrial and utilities sectors.

You will provide technical leadership on major projects, oversee Environmental Permit applications, and mentor junior team members while supporting business development and client relationships across the UK.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in environmental permitting, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead complex permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Strong client relationship and business development awareness.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex permitting, compliance and regulatory projects.
• Oversee preparation of Environmental Permit applications and supporting reports.
• Conduct legal compliance and audit assessments for clients.
• Manage project delivery, budgets and programmes of work.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to business development.
