Job summary
AECOM in the United Kingdom is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to support its expanding Energy team. You’ll help shape sustainable infrastructure across renewables and transmission projects, working from offices in multiple UK cities with a flexible hybrid model.

Qualifications
- BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered status or working toward chartership.
- Experience on Energy Transition projects desirable.
- Experience on UK Transmission & Distribution projects (11kV-400kV).
- High degree of technical competency in civil/structural design.
- Strong report writing and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with NGTS or CDAE status is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead verification on feasibility studies and design reports.
- Liaise with clients and manage project work to deadlines and budgets.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Lead civil infrastructure design including roads and drainage.
- Prepare and review calculations, drawings and specs per UK standards.
- Conduct site inspections and respond to technical queries.
- Mentor junior staff.
