National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is seeking a People Partner to advise and support leadership across the organisation. You will embed change, enhance capability, and empower managers to resolve ER matters while delivering people initiatives aligned with the lab’s mission.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Generalist or People Advisor/Partner role.
• Strong employee relations experience with complex matters.
• Experience supporting change and performance management.
• Excellent communication, influence and coaching skills.
• Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative People Team.
• Solution-focused approach with strong judgement.
• Experience managing people (two People Advisers).

Responsabilités

• Advise, guide and coach managers to help us deliver our mission and vision.
• Partner with a Strategic People Partner and specialist People team functions on engagement, talent management, resourcing, workforce management, wellbeing, D&I and L&D initiatives.
• Provide advice on policy development, change and performance management to support business capability.
• Act as a subject matter expert on complex ER and policy issues, guiding managers to risks and decisions.
• Support delivery of the People Strategy and ownership of allocated projects within the annual cycle.
• Drive continuous improvement and use data to inform decisions and recommendations.
• Coach and develop People Advisers and mentor colleagues when required.
