Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Ashby-de-la-Zouch is seeking a dynamic Ocean Import Freight Forwarder to join our Ocean Freight team. You will manage end-to-end ocean import shipments, coordinating bookings, transport and customs support while delivering excellent customer service.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, building strong relationships with customers and partners. The role offers a hybrid working model with a salary of up to £35,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Ocean import experience, ideally in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes and ocean freight activities.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proactive problem solver with attention to detail and accuracy.
• IT literate with MS Office and freight management systems; CargoWise a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ocean import shipments from booking through delivery.
• Coordinate transport, customs support and related services; ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation and system updates for shipments.
• Serve as primary contact for allocated customers; handle enquiries and quotes.
• Monitor costs, invoices, duties and VAT; support KPI achievement and continuous improvement.
