Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Ashby-de-la-Zouch is seeking an Ocean Import Freight Forwarder to manage end-to-end ocean import shipments, from booking through to final delivery, while delivering excellent customer service. You will own allocated shipments, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, monitor progress, and ensure documentation is up to date.

• Proven ocean import experience and knowledge of freight forwarding processes.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ocean or multimodal environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ocean import shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Own allocated shipments and customers, coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinate transport and services, support customs clearance, and identify issues affecting delivery.
• Handle enquiries, quotations, claims and complaints with a solutions-focused approach.
• Review charges, duties, VAT and fees; ensure correct invoicing and financial accuracy.
• Support Ocean team KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
