Job summary

Robertson Sumner Ltd is seeking a NOC Engineer to provide 2nd line support across customer networks from a Gloucestershire base. The role is hybrid, with duties ranging from incident investigation to resolution and on-site visits as required.

The engineer will troubleshoot Cisco and Fortinet environments, maintain tickets and time records, and ensure service levels are met. ITIL knowledge and prior NOC/MSP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of NOC/MSP or network support experience.
• Experience with Cisco/Fortinet security technologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd Line support across customer network environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Cisco and Fortinet networking issues.
• Own incidents from investigation through to resolution.
• Escalate complex issues to senior engineers and vendors.
• Maintain accurate tickets, documentation and time records.
• Work within SLA targets and support managed service customers.
• Participate in on-call support and customer site visits when required.
