Job summary

Spectrum IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join a highly skilled NOC team within a leading technology solutions provider. In this hybrid role, you will support diverse customers across finance, manufacturing, utilities and retail, across networking, infrastructure, cloud, virtualization and security.

The role covers technical troubleshooting, design support (HLD/LLD), incident management, and a 24/7 on-call rota, with occasional travel to Milton Keynes and Watford.

Qualifications

• Extensive networking experience in enterprise environments.
• CCNP or equivalent networking qualifications.
• Experience in ITIL-based service environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across complex customer environments and managed services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and infrastructure incidents.
• Contribute to solution design, HLD/LLD, implementations and technical projects.
• Act as a technical escalation point and SME.
• Work within an ITIL-based service environment, supporting SLAs, KPIs and change/problem management.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver high level of technical service.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites, data centres and offices in Milton Keynes/Watford.

You’ll support a diverse customer base across sectors including finance, manufacturing, utilities and retail, working across networking, infrastructure, cloud, virtualisation and security.

The Role

• Provide technical support across complex customer environments and managed services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and infrastructure incidents.
• Contribute to solution design, HLD/LLD, implementations and technical projects.
• Act as a technical escalation point and subject matter expert.
• Work within an ITIL-based service environment, supporting SLAs, KPIs and change/problem management.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota.
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver a high level of technical service.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites, data centres and offices in Milton Keynes/Watford.

Key Skills

We're looking for experience across several of the following:

• Cisco / CCNP-level networking & Nexus switching
• Fortinet, Check Point or Palo Alto firewalls
• VMware ESXi/vSAN
• Load balancing and network monitoring
• HLD/LLD documentation
• ITIL, incident/change/problem management
