Job summary

GMCA is seeking a Networks Engineer to join its Digital Team and help design, implement, maintain, and continually improve secure, resilient network services across the organisation.

The role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-quality network solutions, ensure service availability, and support the organisation's digital services in Greater Manchester.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in relevant area or equivalent.
• ITIL Intermediate or equivalent certificate relevant to the area of expertise.
• Evidence of continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of high-quality network and communications services.
• Support the implementation of network infrastructure solutions and ensure they meet requirements.
• Liaises with suppliers, contractors and service providers to support maintenance and improvement of network infrastructure.
• Assist in testing and validation of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity arrangements relating to network infrastructure.
• Support knowledge transfer and mentoring across support teams.
