Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a Networks & Communications Specialist in Sheffield. This hands-on, mid‑level role sits in the IT team and will own day‑to‑day networking support, troubleshoot issues and contribute to infrastructure projects.

You will manage LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, routing and firewalls, support VoIP and unified communications, and maintain technical documentation. The role offers hybrid working: minimum two days in Sheffield and three days remote, with training opportunities and

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, routing and firewalls.
• Experience with VoIP or unified communications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with IT service management and change processes.
• Able to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd line support across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routing and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues.
• Support VoIP and unified communications.
• Work with suppliers and third-party technology partners.
• Support network upgrades, changes and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, automation and efficiency.
• Work closely with wider Infrastructure and IT teams.
