Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a Networks & Communications Specialist in Sheffield. This hands-on, mid‑level role sits in the IT team and will own day‑to‑day networking support, troubleshoot issues and contribute to infrastructure projects.

You will manage LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, routing and firewalls, support VoIP and unified communications, and maintain technical documentation. The role offers hybrid working: minimum two days in Sheffield and three days remote, with training opportunities and

• Experience with VoIP or unified communications.

We’re looking for a Networks & Communications Specialist to join an established organisation’s IT team.

This is a hands-on, mid-level networking role where you’ll take ownership of day-to-day networking support, troubleshoot technical issues and get involved in infrastructure projects and improvements.

• Provide 3rd line support across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routing and firewalls

• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, automation and efficiency

What we're looking for

• Solid hands-on experience supporting enterprise networks
• Good knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routing and firewalls
• Experience with VoIP or unified communications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of IT service management and change processes
• Able to work independently and take ownership
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude

CCNA is desirable but not essential – equivalent practical experience will be considered.

Experience with Cisco Webex Calling, Microsoft 365, Azure or wider infrastructure would also be beneficial.
