Job summary

Halfords Group PLC is seeking a Merchandise Planner in Retail Supply Chain to manage inventory budgets, forecast sales, and coordinate with Buyers and Trading teams. The role focuses on delivering optimal stock availability and profitable growth for both store and online channels.

You will collaborate across functions, shape commercial plans, and drive data-driven decisions while operating in a hybrid model with on-site presence in Redditch/ Worcestershire.

Qualifications

• Merchandising and stock planning experience is essential.
• Thrives in a fast-paced retail environment with strong commercial results.
• Data-driven decisions and analytical mindset are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory stock budgets and monitor KPIs such as OTB, availability and stock turn.
• Own sales volume forecasting for designated categories with trading teams and suppliers.
• Develop intake plans aligned to budget expectations and trading priorities.
• Influence sales, margin, and volume forecasts with Buyers to drive commercial outcomes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to shape space planning and commercial decisions.
• Support improvements across multichannel performance and execution.
• Ensure promotions and range reviews are delivered accurately and on time.
