Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Merchandise Planner to drive stock planning, forecasting, and commercial performance across both store and online channels. You will partner with Buyers, Trading and Logistics to optimise ranges, promotions and stock flow.

The role requires advanced Excel, SAP/BW experience, and strong data-driven decision making in a fast-paced retail environment. Hybrid working at the Redditch Support Centre is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced retail environment with strong commercial results.
• Ability to deliver insight-led decisions using data.
• Strong analytical and commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory stock budgets and manage stock KPIs.
• Own sales volume forecasting with trading teams and suppliers.
• Develop intake plans aligned to budget and priorities.
• Influence sales, margin, and volume forecasts with Buyers.
• Collaborate across functions to drive space planning decisions.
• Support multichannel performance improvements.
