Job summary

Videojet Technologies Limited in Huntingdon, UK, is seeking an on-site Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing team. You’ll work from the office and in the lab, with occasional remote arrangements as appropriate for business needs.

The role focuses on solving engineering problems, developing new designs or upgrades, and producing technical drawings, reports, and analyses to support product development for printers and related systems.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Several years of experience in Engineering or product development.
• Experience in CAD, ideally SolidWorks or similar.
• Engineering detailing including GD&T, or willing to learn.
• Good Engineering skill, to design & analyses of Mechanical systems.
• Finite Element Analysis – any software.
• Engineering processes, (DFMEA, PSP, etc)
• Experience of working on industries involved with printers, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Solving Engineering problems and developing new solutions/ideas
• Engineering development of new design, or upgrade current design
• Technical drawing and/or reports with results and analysis
• Mechanical Engineering theoretical analysis where applicable
• DFMEA and prototype and testing of design concepts
