Job summary

Canon EMEA is seeking a Service Engineer to install, service and repair Canon Commercial Print Ink Jet Printers and finishing equipment. The role focuses on first-time fixes, quality, and customer satisfaction, with a shift rotation and opportunities for training.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, communicating with customers and colleagues while maintaining accurate records and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• NVQ or equivalent in electrical and/or mechanical discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve a high first-time fix rate and minimize recalls with cost-effective use of labour and parts.
• Communicate effectively with Canon customers and internal departments.
• Support and mentor colleagues as required by grade.
• Ensure all post-sale field service requirements are met.
• Provide technical escalation support when needed.
• Record all activities in line with company guidelines.
• Optimise customer stock inventory and balance with return-to-fit visits.
• Provide customer product instruction and training.
• Identify chargeable work and obtain authorization before proceeding.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in maintenance and repair practices.
