Job summary

Convergint is seeking a General Ledger Part-Qualified Assistant Accountant to join the UK finance team. You will support month-end close, run reconciliations, and assist with auditing processes under the guidance of the Senior Accountant and Financial Controller.

The role involves posting monthly journals, preparing reconciliations (bank, stock, intercompany, fixed assets) and providing payroll analysis. It is a hybrid position (3 days in office, 2 days at home) and requires studying toward

Qualifications

• Studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, ideally part qualified.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations and month-end close advisable.
• Knowledge of payroll, VAT and EU tax considerations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank, stock and fixed assets.
• Assist month-end close and provide monthly P&L commentary.
• Support year-end audits and respond to internal/external queries.
• Process monthly payroll and liaise with external payroll provider.
• Maintain coding records and coordinate with UK Financial Controller.
