Job summary

Confidential in Central Lancashire seeks an experienced Finance professional to join as Assistant Management Accountant. You will support month-end close, manage day-to-day financial transactions, and interact with senior staff across the UK and overseas divisions.

Reporting to the Finance Manager within a team of seven, you will help with UK and Ireland financial reporting, planning, and analysis, while contributing to process improvements and VAT reporting. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience across all areas of the role and ability to hit the ground running.
• Strong communication skills and proven ledger management and month/year end close.
• Professional qualifications or QBE considered for the role.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead on routine month end entries and ensure correct recording with prepayments and accruals.
• Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile control accounts.
• Manage working capital and support ledger management tasks.
• Deliver monthly/quarterly reporting to timetable and assist annual audits in UK & Ireland.
• Assist VAT reporting and contribute to financial planning and analysis.
• Provide pro-active financial support, develop pricing/forecast analysis, and support budgeting.
