Job summary

PPM Recruitment are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation in the Manchester area, focusing on securing profitable M&E maintenance and technical compliance contracts.

You will identify opportunities, build relationships with property and facilities stakeholders, and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships. Hybrid working with regular client/site visits; salary £60,000–£65,000 depending on experience; car allowance provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' business development experience in commercial M&E maintenance or FM.
• Proven track record of winning maintenance contracts valued 100k–2m per year.
• Established relationships with managing agents and commercial property professionals.
• Strong technical understanding of M&E maintenance services.
• Ability to interpret specifications and identify commercial opportunities.
• Experience conducting site surveys.
• Experience contributing to pricing strategies and commercial proposals.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure profitable M&E maintenance and technical contracts.
• Generate new business opportunities and build client partnerships.
• Engage with decision-makers and technical stakeholders to provide viable solutions.
• Attend site visits and conduct client meetings as part of hybrid work.
