Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager in the Manchester area to drive growth in M&E maintenance and building solutions. You will identify opportunities, build relationships with property stakeholders, and convert opportunities into long-term partnerships.

The role requires a strong sales mindset, technical understanding of M&E services, and a track record of winning contracts from £100k to £2m per year. Hybrid working with site visits is included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' business development experience within commercial M&E maintenance, Facilities Management or Building Solutions.
• Proven track record of winning maintenance contracts valued between £100k and £2m per annum.
• Established relationships with managing agents and commercial property professionals.
• Strong technical understanding of M&E maintenance services.
• Ability to interpret specifications and identify commercial opportunities.
• Experience conducting site surveys.
• Experience contributing to pricing strategies and commercial proposals.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Business Development Manager - FM / M&E Maintenance

PPM Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing organisation in the Manchester area.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused professional with a strong background in M&E maintenance, Facilities Management or Building Solutions to play a key role in driving business growth.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing profitable M&E maintenance and technical compliance contracts. The role will focus on generating new business opportunities, developing strong relationships with key property and facilities stakeholders, and converting opportunities into long-term, profitable partnerships.

You will be expected to build influential relationships with decision-makers, engage confidently with technical stakeholders, understand client requirements and develop commercially viable solutions.

Key details:

• Hybrid working, with regular client and site visits
• Head office based in Denton, Manchester
• Salary: £60,000-£65,000, depending on experience
• Car allowance provided

Skills & Experience:
