Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear — a core part of Babcock International Group — is seeking a Lead Mechanical Construction Planner for Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater. You will own mechanical construction planning, lead a team, and ensure schedules align with milestones in a hybrid working pattern.

This role requires significant planning experience, leadership, and expertise in Level 5 schedules, with security clearance to UK standards. Hybrid working and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in construction planning, project controls or engineering planning environment.
• Experience leading planning teams within major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience developing and managing integrated construction schedules.
• Experience using Primavera P6 planning software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Mechanical Construction Planning team to support project delivery.
• Develop and maintain integrated Level 5 mechanical construction schedules aligned to programme milestones.
• Confirm activities entering the four-week planning window are sufficiently mature and ready for construction.
• Identify and manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical, HVAC and other delivery disciplines.
• Produce mechanical planning reports, progress reviews and contributions to the 16-week lookahead programme.
