Job summary

Charles River Laboratories, based in the UK, is seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst for a full-time, permanent, hybrid role at our High Peak facility. You will deliver IT support to the wider operations team across sites, ensuring systems are available and functioning.

Reporting to the IT Support Services Manager, you will handle onboarding, incident management, and technical support for Windows, Office 365, SCCM and SharePoint. Occasional travel to Edinburgh and Margate may be required.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths minimum; IT qualifications desirable.
• Experience in technical support and troubleshooting desktop hardware/software in enterprise.
• Extensive knowledge of desktop OS maintenance and Windows troubleshooting.
• Ability to support MS Office suite; experience with Edge and core CRL applications.
• Plan and coordinate work schedules to meet service levels.
• Working knowledge of LAN technologies (TCP/IP, switches, routers).
• Full, clean UK driving licence and own transport.
• Right to Work in the UK; no sponsorship offered.

Responsibilities

• Configure, support and administer IT equipment and onboarding.
• Gather requirements and translate into funded projects.
• Perform break/fix analysis and implement timely solutions.
• Monitor Service Desk queue and ITIL/SLAs adherence.
• Conduct root cause analysis and document knowledge base.
• Develop new processes and training materials.
• Coordinate with vendors for orders and site projects.
• Manage permissions on Windows file servers and SharePoint/Teams.
• Build laptops/desktops and install software via SCCM.
• Represent IT in site change management processes.
