Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Manchester is seeking an IT Service Transition Lead for a 24-month fixed-term contract. The role hybrid with a minimum of two days on-site and a start ASAP, offering £57,000-£60,700 plus benefits.

You will oversee service acceptance and go-live readiness across major programmes, ensuring new or altered services are fully supportable before entering live operation. You will collaborate with project managers, IT operations and suppliers to own the handover into support,

Qualifications

Strong IT service transition experience (not BAU service management).
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience managing complex, multi-project IT transitions.
Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM environments.

Responsibilities

Lead Service Transition across multiple projects and programmes.
Own service acceptance, go-live readiness and handover into support.
Collaborate with Project/Programme Managers, IT Operations, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
Identify and manage transition risks, issues and dependencies.
Lead Go-Live Readiness and Acceptance into Service checkpoints.
Ensure documentation, knowledge transfer and support arrangements are in place.
Help improve and mature Service Transition processes and governance.
