Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) invites applications for Innovation Engineers/Innovation Project Managers to drive research, development and capability roll-out across a dynamic portfolio. Hybrid working with 1-2 days in the office and travel to sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Strong project management and technical foundation essential.
• Experience in developing and deploying innovative solutions.
• Understanding of governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver innovation and roll-out projects of all sizes.
• Manage R&D and capability roll-out projects per NGED policies.
• Mentor and coach staff members in project methodologies.
• Lead funding applications from Ofgem and other sources.
• Represent NGED in national meetings with ENA, Ofgem and government bodies.
• Develop and review NGED innovation policies for compliance.
• Prepare detailed project plans, cost-benefit analyses and regulatory reporting.
