Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) seeks three Innovation Project Managers/Engineers to drive innovation and capability roll-out across the network. You will plan and deliver projects, manage governance, and coordinate cross-team activities.

The role supports collaboration with national bodies, mentors colleagues, and travels to sites as required. Hybrid work is available with 1–2 days in the office and more time away for site visits or events as needed.

Qualifications

• Significant track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in development and delivery under NIA/SIF framework (desirable).
• Strong understanding of UK electricity transmission and distribution assets and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver innovation and roll-out projects of various sizes.
• Manage R&D and capability roll-out projects per Ofgem governance and NGED policies.
• Lead funding applications from Ofgem innovation schemes and other sources.
